These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons and services provided by GAM School of Motoring Ltd.
By booking lessons, the student agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Driving Lessons
Students must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and present it at the first lesson.
Lessons will begin and end at the agreed location.
3. Payments
Lesson fees must be paid in advance.
To secure the lesson slot advance payment of £40 is required via bank transfer.
Block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase.
Special Offers are provided entirely at the discretion of GAM School of Motoring Ltd and can be changed or withdrawn at any time and without prior notice.
Payments can be made via cash or bank transfer.
4. Driving Lesson Cancellations by the Student
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson, otherwise the driving lesson will be charged in full.
The student must confirm cancellations by text to GAM School of Motoring Ltd, or directly with the driving instructor.
Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
Instructors reserve the right to cancel lessons due to unsafe weather, vehicle issues, or other emergencies.
5. Driving Lesson Cancellations by the Instructor
Driving lessons may sometimes need to be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather conditions, a fault with the driving instructor’s car, the driving instructor being ill or some other emergency or unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to notify the student as soon as practicable.
The driving instructor will rearrange any appointment to a time suitable for both parties.
6. Appointment Times
The student should keep a record of appointment dates and times in order to avoid missed appointments.
The driving instructor will wait 10 minutes after the appointment time before deeming the driving lesson to have been cancelled with insufficient notice.
The driving instructor will make every effort to be punctual, however traffic conditions may sometimes make this difficult, and can vary and this should be accounted.
The driving lesson will commence either at the appointed time, or, where the driving instructor arrives late, the student will be offered a reduced driving lesson rate, or where possible, the same length of driving lesson originally booked, or additional time on a subsequent driving lesson.
If the student requires the driving instructor to pick them up or drop them off at a different location than the ones originally agreed, then the driving instructor will need 48 hour’s notice. In this instance, the driving instructor may need to start later or finish the driving lesson earlier than planned depending on the location of the new address.
7. Fitness to Drive
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they are fit to drive. The student must inform their driving instructor as soon as possible of any medical condition, disability or injury that may affect their ability or entitlement to drive. The student must inform their driving instructor if they feel unwell during the lesson.
The student must ensure that they do not drive whilst under the influence of alcohol (including the day after consuming alcohol which may result in still being over the legal drink drive limit), or drugs (some prescription and ‘over the counter’ medicines can cause drowsiness). The student should ensure that they do not arrange driving lessons at times when they are likely to be tired, stressed, or otherwise distracted.
The student must wear suitable footwear, and clothing that does not restrict movement, or impede their ability to drive safely in any way.
8. Instructor and Vehicle Use
The instructor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the vehicle for the driving test if the student is deemed not ready.
The instructor will make every effort to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and insured.
9. Driving Tests
Driving tests should not be booked without first ascertaining the availability of the driving instructor, and agreement being reached between the driving instructor and student regarding readiness for the driving test.
Use of the instructor’s car for the test must be arranged in advance and will incur an additional fee.
10. Code of Conduct
Students must behave respectfully and follow instructions during lessons.
Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in termination of lessons without refund.
11. Liability
GAM School of Motoring Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from driving lessons or tests.
Students are responsible for any fines or penalties incurred during lessons due to their actions.
12. Data Protection
Personal data will be handled in accordance with GDPR and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
13. Complaints
Any complaints should be directed to the instructor or submitted in writing to the company.
